Cooperation for development in the brush district

The "Brush District" of Castelfranco Emilia (near Modena, Italy) was established about one year ago by Borghi and its partners, Techno Plastic and Unimac, for the creation of brush and broom manufacturing machines. At the K 2103 fair (Düsseldorf, 16-23 October), Borghi and Techno Plastic in particular will be introducing to the public of the plastic and rubber industry the technologies and applications resulting from this cooperation project.
On this occasion, Borghi, whose strength lies in the flexibility, quality and reliability of its products, will be exhibiting a Star-R 32 filling machine for the manufacturing of brushes and brooms of any type. It is a carousel-type machine with two tools and three stations (block loading/unloading, drilling and filling) which operate simultaneously and are able to process two pieces at the same time. The carriages are moved by five axes driven by brushless servomotors and controlled via PC. The machine can deliver brushes with radial, parallel and combination radial/parallel fillings. The wide freedom in terms of filling patterns and the availability of specific equipment allow this machine to produce brushes and brooms for a range of  applications, including brushes for WCs and brushes for dishwashers.
Specialising in the manufacturing of extrusion lines for packing straps and monofilaments made from plastics, Techno Plastic offers an all-round and tailored range of services from the research of raw materials to the design and testing of extrusion lines as well as after-sale assistance. The company's core business is represented by advanced processing solutions for recycled plastics. A team of specialists has the task to study the interactions between products, environment and resources in order to define new processing concepts. A further team of engineers, designers and technicians is responsible for the realisation and testing of all products, while monitoring and guaranteeing the reliability of all mechanical and electronic parts.
