Coastal restoration

On February 16 the European Plastics Converters Association (EuPC - www.plasticsconverters.eu) signed a co-operation agreement with Thomsea, the inventor of a new trawling net that will help retrieve plastics marine litter. According to Alexandre Dangis, managing director of EuPC, the new "Thomsea" trawling net designed for use by EU fishermen (originally developed to clean up oil spills) can now be adapted to clean up floating marine debris. The net is made of plastics, does not catch fish and, most importantly for the purposes of environmental protection, is 100% recyclable.
