Biobasket by Philippe Starck
Dubbed "ElisebyStarck", the office wastebasket designed by Philippe Starck is made of Gaïalene bioplastics produced by Roquette, which won an Eco-Design Award at the tradeshow "Journées Annuelles Développement Durable et Entreprises" held in Lille, France in early October. Elegant and refined with a delightfully soft feel, the basket in available in various colours and is suggested as a bin for paper and/or other recyclables. Roquette was awarded the prize for having adopted an innovative approach to developing and fine tuning the Gaïalene line of bioplastics, which includes products for extruded films, injection moulding, and foams.
