Michael Ruf succeeds Frank Stieler at the helm of KraussMaffei Group
Frank Stieler (on the left) resigned from his office as CEO of KraussMaffei Group on March 31, 2020 and Michael Ruf, present COO of the company, has taken over the position from April 1, 2020. Stieler has been CEO of KraussMaffei Group since July 2015 and of KraussMaffei Company Limited since May 2019.
Under the leadership of Ruf the company will streamline its organization. This allows further rationalization to deal with the challenges from the current complicated and volatile economic situation and the impact from the coronavirus crisis. Ruf: “We are ready to face such challenges. I enjoyed working with Frank Stieler thereby creating the concepts for the changes together. I am grateful that he developed the company to this level“.
The Chairman of the Board, Bai Xinping: “Stieler has refocussed and repositioned KraussMaffei as the plastic industry pioneer. He has managed the company to deal with the current challenges. We thank him for his work and wish all the best for his future“.
In the meanwhile, due to the coronavirus pandemic, KraussMaffei has closed its plants in Munich, Treuchtlingen, Hanover and Schwaig in Germany, and in Sucany in Slovakia. The reopening is scheduled for April 10, but could be also postponed until April 17.
