A look at 2024 for CMS

The year 2024 has been a milestone for CMS Plastic Technology, marked by the introduction of technologies set to redefine standards in the plastics and composites processing sector.

During the late October open house, CMS unveiled the new version of athena, the machining centre designed for high-speed operations, offering exceptional motion dynamics to ensure high productivity.

The innovative structure of the basement significantly reduces vibrations during machining, improving the quality of the finish, while the advanced design facilitates the operator’s work preparation, ensuring simpler and more efficient experience. Thanks to the cutting-edge software, machining times have been reduced by 13%, optimising every phase of the production process.

Another important step was the introduction of the Control Room for thermoforming machines in Amsterdam during the European Thermoforming Conference. This event is widely recognised as a key meeting point for the thermoforming industry. It brings together professionals, industry leaders, and innovative companies to explore new technologies, materials, and solutions shaping the future of thermoforming.

The Control Room is a modern solution that uses artificial intelligence to collect and process data from connected machines. It enables CMS to provide proactive support by anticipating potential issues, ensuring uninterrupted operations, and reducing downtime. This approach also helps to streamline production processes for greater efficiency.
