GAP double open house event for the inauguration of a new R&D centre

On 12 and 13 May, GAP officially inaugurated its new research and development centre with a two-day open house exhibition. The company expressed its satisfaction for the success of the event as a sign of confidence of visitors towards the company, given the difficulties that everyone has faced in recent months.

GAP will replicate the open house on 26 May, opening the doors of its factory, and on 27 May with a virtual event hosting three live sessions to illustrate the new line recently developed for the production of bubble films up to 27 layers.

On this occasion, a Q&A session and a virtual tour of the company will also be proposed to participants.

The new line is based on a microlayer technology adapted to the circular head that makes it possible to overlay different materials to boost the film performance while keeping its thickness as limited as possible. The basic version of the line includes nine extruders, an extrusion head with a diameter of 400 mm and various feeders, an automatic thickness adjustment ring, a swinging table, a Corona treatment unit and a 1,600 mm double winder.
