Eataly chooses Mater-Bi

The distribution network of Italian quality food and wine, Eataly, adopted biodegradable and compostable bags and disposable tableware in Mater-Bi marketed by Novamont. The bags will be manufactured in Terni biorefinery with its second generation Mater-Bi (with improvement of the polymer in terms of renewable raw materials content). The new bags can be reused for separate refuse collection, thus becoming ideal tools for promoting quality organic refuse collection. The tableware will be collected separately for initiation of composting in a dedicated plant. They also obtained the "OK Compost" certification, granting the transformation of the product into compost within 90 days, pursuant to European regulation EN13432, if correctly disposed of in an industrial plant.
