Moretto at Pack Passion Week: improving the sustainability in PET and rPET preform production

Padua-based Moretto is among the speakers at the 2021 digital edition of Pack Passion Week, the event dedicated to the world of PET running from March 9 to 11. On 10 March Gene Flockerzi, general manager of Moretto Usa, will present a paper with the title “Enhancing Sustainability: drying control and process verification on preform production.”

The presentation will point out how sustainability is today a goal increasingly pursued by companies in the industrial sector, and the demand for new technologies that enable producers to optimize their production processes is growing every day. Based on these reflections and committed to preserving the planet, Moretto is researching and developing innovative solutions for a responsible use and handling of plastics also in the production of PET and rPET preforms.

In order to allow processors to achieve the best production standards,

Moretto will describe the importance of offering a correct drying verification - proving that the resin was dried in ideal conditions before entering the converting machine - so to prevent possible omissions during the production process and significantly reduce the amount of scrap. To this end, the manufacturer developed a solution based on patented technologies driven by constant innovation, in order to ensure a smart drying process control.
