Mech-I-Tronic expands into the Americas with acquisitions in the USA and Brazil
The global industrial group specialising in advanced mechatronic solutions, Mech-I-Tronic, has announced the acquisition of Apex Machine in the United States and RK Ferramentaria in Brazil. These transactions mark the group’s entry into both regions and form part of a broader growth strategy through external lines, supported by over 100 million euros allocated to acquisitions and development. Over the past two years, Mech-I-Tronic has accelerated its expansion, completing six acquisitions and integrating 15 companies across Europe and China. The group currently achieves approximately 260 million euros in annual revenue and employs over 1,400 people, serving clients in more than 50 countries. The objective is to reach 500 million euros in revenue by 2028.
Apex Machine, headquartered in Fort Lauderdale with a history spanning over 100 years, enhances the group’s capabilities across the entire industrial value chain through integrated solutions covering pretreatment, printing, quality control, downstream automation, component handling, and complete packaging systems. The company primarily serves the medical and pharmaceutical sectors. In 2025, Apex Machine generated more than 20 million euros in revenue, with a geographical presence focused on North America and Europe. RK Ferramentaria, based in Curitiba, specialises in the design and production of multi-cavity injection moulds, with strong expertise in high-speed and thin-wall technologies. Active in the food packaging, catering, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical sectors, the company delivers high-performance solutions for industrial tooling throughout South America. In 2025, RK Ferramentaria generated approximately 4 million euros in revenue. The company operates from a 2,000-square-metre facility and employs 65 professionals.
“The acquisitions of Apex Machine and RK Ferramentaria significantly strengthen our presence in the Americas, a strategic region for us both industrially and in terms of access to new markets and global clients,” stated Marco Giovannini (pictured), founder and chairman of Mech-I-Tronic. “These operations enable us to integrate key competencies along the value chains we are developing and to accelerate our international growth in advanced manufacturing. We will continue to pursue targeted acquisitions in a still highly fragmented market, with the aim of building a global platform.”
