Coim among the top 100 of Made in Italy
Specialised in the production of chemical specialties, polyesters, polyols, polyurethanes, and special resins for the creation of composite materials and coatings, Coim has been included among the 100 excellence brands of Made in Italy in a multi-sectoral research study conducted on the landscape of Italian companies by the ItalyPost Study Centre, in collaboration with the L'Economia insert of Il Corriere della Sera. Founded in 1962 and currently operating with nine production sites, an equal number of research centres, and 1,327 employees worldwide, Coim recorded a turnover of 1.2 billion euros in 2023.
The research focused on the financial statements of companies that performed above average between 2016 and 2022, mapping 300 excellent Italian companies based on criteria such as revenue growth, Ebitda, and profits. The analysis then identified the 100 most financially and asset-solid entities among those with revenues between 500 million euros and 10 billion euros, as well as companies with revenues up to 500 million euros across four key sectors of Italian manufacturing: mechanical engineering, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, food and beverages, and textiles, fashion, and clothing. Mechanical engineering and steelmaking emerged as the primary sectors, accounting for 47 of the 100 companies, with 66 billion euros, followed by chemicals and pharmaceuticals with 30 billion euros. During the event presenting the research, held in Parma on 17 and 18 October, Giuseppe Librandi, President and CEO of Coim, delivered a speech to discuss innovation, sustainability, growth strategies, and the future prospects of the company with other participating businesses.
“We are proud to receive this recognition, which represents further confirmation of our journey in the chemical sector. Over the past 62 years, Coim has made significant strides, becoming a multinational with nine production and research and development sites in Italy, Singapore, India, the USA, Brazil, Spain, Austria, and the Netherlands, over 1,300 specialised employees, and a turnover of over 1 billion euros, positioning itself among the top five chemical companies in Italy. Our constant commitment is to interpret and meet the expectations and needs of companies located in over 90 countries that operate in constantly evolving sectors, while maintaining a focus on sustainable development and care for people and the environment,” commented Librandi on this occasion (in the photo above).
