As of 30 September, Paolo Bochicchio will take over as managing director of EuPC (European Plastics Convrters), succeeding Bernard Merkx, who has held the position on an interim basis for around two years, after taking over from Alexandre Dangis at the beginning of 2023.

Among the reasons for the appointment was the need for the European processors' association to have a full-time director with the necessary advocacy skills and an established network of relationships in Brussels to ensure that the long-term interests of processors are properly represented in the European institutions.

Furthermore, the change is part of a broader transformation process recently undertaken by EuPC. The appointment of Paolo Bochicchio, who has 20 years of experience in managerial positions in public affairs and communications management of various internationally active organisations, is considered a strategic move in light of the ongoing change.
