Green moulding
The new Roteax machine based on a "green technology" to perform low pressure multiple injection moulding of polyolefin-based miscellaneous plastics waste has been presented on April 8 at Plaxtech in Udine (Italy). The machine can produce at the same time 4 different items in terms of shape and weight with an output more than double in comparison with traditional machines used for this process: i.e with a 15-kg article from 60 to 90 cycles per hour can be carried out, up to 3 times faster than similar productions. The products are really "green", i.e. eco-compatible, obtained with a process requiring a very little or no raw materials and a low energy consumption. Generally speaking, this technology would involve a decrease up to 50% for the incidence of energy, labour and amortization cost per product unit.
