Evolution in dosing

The Lybra range of loss-in-weight gravimetric dosers is offered by Piovan in five different configurations for an equal number of applications, starting with the simplest, "Basic", with a single station. Another one is specific for processing PET and known as "PET Pro", which is structurally identical to "Basic" but includes water cooling of the dosing zone of the screw feeder, the flange, and the central unit, made of stainless steel. The third configuration is called "Microdosaggio" and is designed for injection moulding of small and very small components. It is thus equipped with a system for micro-dosing (approximately one gram per cycle) and two small and extremely sensitive load cells. The "Extrusion Pro" is proposed for applications on extrusion lines. The stainless steel central unit has a large capacity to allow the fast passage and quick discharge of large volumes of virgin material and inert material in cleaning operations. Lastly, the "Recycling Pro" configuration is designed for use on blow-moulding lines that use non-homogeneous regrind which could potentially cause downflow problems. This unit is outfitted with large stations, while the central unit is equipped with an integrated dynamic mixer that improves mixing of materials of heterogeneous origin (virgin, regrind, masterbatch).
