Twenty-eighth Fakuma closed

The 28th edition of Fakuma closed on 21 October at the Friedrichshafen Exhibition Centre. 39,343 visitors came to see the 1,636 exhibitors on 85,000 square metres of exhibition space. With an increase of around 10%, 44% of the exhibitors came from abroad: 134 from Italy, 120 from China, 79 from Switzerland, 70 from Austria, 58 from Turkey and 55 from France.

As usual, injection moulding machines were the main attraction. Among the driving themes at this year's show on the shores of Lake Constance were the holistic conceptualisation of moulded parts and their design with a view to recycling and degradability, the creation of closed-loop material flows and the processing of recyclates for high-end applications. Digitalisation, automation and flexibility, energy efficiency and process sustainability were also in the spotlight.

The next edition is scheduled to take place in Friedrichshafen from 15 to 19 October 2024.
