Maip Group joins ReGenesis for the recovery and recycling of luxury goods

Maip Group has joined the ReGenesis protocol, designed by Studio Lisa Tavazzani, to manage production waste and surplus inventory in the luxury goods sector. Thanks to the collaboration with Eastman and Studio Lisa Tavazzani, Gruppo Maip will introduce new compounds and sheets obtained from upgraded industrial waste and Acetate Renew, a sustainable acetate by Eastman with performance equal to that of traditional acetate. This approach allows raw materials to remain within a closed-loop system, promoting a circular economy model.
ReGenesis enables upcycling and the valorisation of waste, turning it into high-quality resources for new production processes. It ensures traceability and transparency at every stage of the supply chain, which is monitored with the support of blockchain technology, guaranteeing reliability and compliance with the highest standards. It also develops bespoke solutions for high-end brands, combining excellence with environmental responsibility.
“We are enthusiastic about this collaboration, which confirms our commitment to transforming waste into sustainable, high-performance materials”, declared Eligio Martini, CEO of Maip Group. “Working with Maip Group and Studio Lisa Tavazzani allows us to reduce waste and create high-quality products, demonstrating that sustainability and excellence can coexist”, added Rachel Oakley, Eyewear Segment Leader at Eastman. “With ReGenesis, we are redefining the concept of sustainability in luxury, offering brands innovative and traceable solutions without compromising on quality”, concluded Lisa Tavazzani, founder of Studio Lisa Tavazzani.
