Amaplast members working at full capacity, despite coronavirus
In consideration of the measures adopted by the Government with regard to the spread of coronavirus, Amaplast, the Italian plastics and rubber processing machinery and moulds manufacturers’ association, underlines that to date its member companies have implemented all the actions required by legislation to protect the health and safety of its employees.
The member companies - none of them are located in the 11 municipalities (10 in Lombardy and one in Veneto) comprised in the so-called red zones, in other words, those subject to restrictions - are working at full capacity in order to ensure manufacturing and trading activities, in addition to the provision of comprehensive technical assistance.
Amaplast considers unacceptable the alarming and above all “unverified” rumours that are unfortunately circulating not just in Italy but also abroad, which have given rise to a false and erroneous picture of the member companies and their ability to guarantee production and technical services in complete safety.
Increasingly numerous reports are arriving from companies whose technical and/or sales staff have apparently been “invited” by clients from abroad (both in Europe and from further afield) to postpone pre-arranged visits to a future date “as yet to be defined”.
In the current situation, it is important not to lapse into misinformed preconceptions that could have a negative effect on the activities of one of the most significant areas of capital machinery industry.
Amaplast trusts in the common sense of everyone concerned in order to guarantee the accuracy of information, ensuring that normal trade relations can be continued, in complete compliance with the Government’s provisions.
