Bayer helps victims of earthquake in Chile
Following the devastating earthquake in Chile, Bayer is supporting the aid campaign "Chile ayuda a Chile" ("Chile helps Chile") with a donation of 100,000 dollars. The fundraising campaign, which is to be launched on all Chile's television channels on March 5, aims to collect money to help finance the construction of 30,000 emergency shelters in the affected regions. The non-profit organization "Un Techo para mi Pais" ("A roof for my country") will be in charge of the building operation. None of Bayer's 400 employees in the country was injured in the earthquake. However, a company administrative building in Santiago de Chile was damaged.
