Safe compactors

On Tuesday and Wednesday, 13 and 14 September, the CEN TC 397 Technical Committee met at CESAP facilities in Verdellino-Zingonia (near Bergamo, Italy). The Committee is developing the European safety regulations for waste compactors (e.g., for PET bottles, film, etc.) used in a source-separated collection system.
The delegates from five European countries viewed compactors made by Scalvenzi sc of Pontevico (Brescia, Italy) that were installed temporarily in the CESAP technical laboratory.
