Thermoplastic elastomers

According to a new study released by Freedonia, the global demand for thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) is forecast to rise 6.3% per year to 5.6 million metric tons in 2015. The Asia/Pacific region will continue to be the largest and fastest-growing market for TPEs through 2015, when it will account for nearly half of global demand.
China has become the world's largest consumer of TPEs thanks to the strong growth of the automotive industry, which account for the largest portion of the world TPE market. On the other hand, the fastest growing niche market is represented by medical products.
