Tailored recycling

The GM65 Compac pilot line developed by Gamma Meccanica, which introduced it at PLAST 2012, has been designed for carrying out tests on materials supplied by recyclers and, according to the results, for predisposing the solution most appropriate to any specific requirement. The line includes shredder, extruder, screenchangers and cutter.
The shredder can receive the material directly from the conveyor belt or through a pre-shredder in order to feed the plant even without the constant presence of an operator. The shredder (or densifier), in particular, includes a system for the electronic control of power which allows the material to be kept at constant temperature without the use of water, in order to reduce energy consumption by 40% and recycle materials with moisture content up to 15%.
The feeding system can be equipped with dosing units for powder, masterbatch and regrind. The modular extrusion unit is available in a "short" version, without degassing stage, for the treatment of dry materials or with standard degassing stage.
