Change of venue confirmed for the Indian fair
After the recent rumours, the news is now official: Plastindia 2015 will take place in the new exhibition centre located in Gandhinagar, about twenty kilometres far from Ahmedabad, in the state of Gujarat.
The decision of Plastindia Foundation to leave the historic venue of the Pragati Maidan exhibition centre in New Delhi, where the Indian fair has always been held so far, comes a few months before the event, scheduled from 5 to 10 February 2015, and has given rise to many doubts among the exhibitors. In fact, at present the new venue has not been completed and the area of Gandhinagar does not seem to be suitable for hosting the fair due to poor infrastructure (hotels, transport links, etc.).
In the wake of this decision, the Executive Committee of Euromap, which will meet in the coming days, will decide whether to confirm the sponsorship of the European association to Plastindia.
