Gefit mould for PP curved closures
Gefit has recently manufactured a mould for polypropylene closures for small nail polish containers. The mould is based on the so called unscrewing technology and features specially slides to define the curved shape of the 57-mm high closures.
The relevant aspect of this development consists in the extremely low cycle time that the mould can ensure, considering the high thicknesses of the cap walls. The particular conformation of the closure therefore required a specific cooling system for the mould.
Before of the manufacture of the mould, all the technical solutions to be adopted have been evaluated and approved by injection moulding simulations (moldflow) and FEM analyses.
