At NPE 2015 with the "suction blow"

A blow moulding machine Aspi150.2, equipped with 70-mm extruder and 2-litre accumulator head, will be displayed by the Italian company ST Soffiaggio Tecnica at NPE 2015 (Orlando, March 23-27), to demonstrate the technological level reached with such a range of machines, devoted to the 3D applications, in particular for the automotive and the “white goods” industries. Thanks to the “suction blow” technology articles with very complex 3D shape can be produced, minimizing the scrap.

The exhibited plant features a 20-ton tie-bar-less clamping unit and the mould area is completely free from obstacles, facilitating the mould changeover and reducing the machine set time. Extruder and head have been designed to process all types of material, from polyolefins to engineering polymers, even filled with glass fibre, at temperatures up to 350°C.

The new radial thickness control system 4WDS, with 4 actuators, acts on 500 control points, allowing to obtain a consistent wall thickness, even in the most critical parts to be realized.
