Star Automation Europe strengthens its core business
The XW-VI and Es-II series will be previewed by Star Automation at PLAST 2015 (Hall 24, stand C81/D82). These are new vertical-entry robots, representing and strengthening the company’s core business thanks to the high performance of the XW line and to the high quality/price ratio of the Es-II series, the company’s entry level robots.
The new XW-VI series, represented by the XW-1500VI, has been designed to replace the existing Lx series. It has been developed with a focus on two fundamental factors: reduction in open-mould and total cycle time; and increased payload with consequent significant strengthening of entire structure. The Es-II series, on the market since the beginning of this year, will be represented by the Esw-1400II. Its excellent quality/price ratio, outstanding flexibility and easy programming will be highlighted at the fair.
Star Automation Europe will also exhibit the Lx-1500, a basic robot for 250-700 ton presses, and the high speed Fx-1500, to demonstrate high level performance in packaging applications.
The company will also display a side-entry system for IMLs exploiting the performance and flexibility of the S7 IML Flex. The system is used with a two-cavity mould (provided by Brink Automation) to produce oval food packaging (capacity 1 litre, weight 36.5 g, wrap-around label) on a 4-5-second cycle. The system is accompanied by a fully electric BMB eKW28Pi press in order to draw visitor attention to energy savings and demonstrate the production of approximately 1,800 fully labelled and palletized pieces per hour.
