Tandem line for XPS insulating panels

A new tandem line from Union was recently delivered to BewiSynbra for the production of XPS panels for thermal insulation and soundproofing applications in buildings.

The line consists of a primary twin-screw extruder and a secondary single-screw extruder and also includes a system for the recycling and grinding of production scrap as well as post-consumer EPS and PS waste, maintaining an MFI capable of guaranteeing the high quality of end products in conformity with UNI EN 13164 standards.

The BewiSynbra group greatly values the technology and flexibility of its extrusion plants, in order to deliver environmentally sustainable products based on new recipes. The Union plants of the new generation can meet these needs thanks to a set of options designed for operating under the most varied process conditions and with different raw materials.
