World rubber

According to the Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries (www.anrpc.org), world production is expected to exceed 10 million tons in 2011, i.e. slightly higher than a previous forecast and up 6% with respect to 2010. Such growth comes from initial exploitation of new cultivations and improved yield in existing areas.
Thailand is the world's number one natural rubber producer, accounting for 34% of global supply and forecast to rise 5,5% with respect to 2010.
