For the production of PET sheets from post-consumer material or thermoforming scrap without drying or crystallization, Union (San Vittore Olona, Milan, Italy) proposes complete lines equipped with single-screw or corotating twin-screw extruders, with 2 and 3 venting zones, respectively.
The special screw profile as well as the positioning of the venting zones allow for material dehumidification during the extrusion process, thus achieving optimal intrinsic viscosity to ensure the best mechanical properties of the final product and the elimination of contaminants.
