Sacmi’s sails spread out towards Chinaplas

A model of the compression moulding machine CCM48S manufactured by Sacmi will go on show at Chinaplas (Shanghai, April, 19-22), displaying the ability of producing up to 1,200 HDPE caps per minute, with a diameter of 30 mm but weighing just 1,9 grams. This high quality standard is possible thanks to the compression technology, even with a 48 moulds (instead of 72 or 96 moulds usually necessary in injection moulding). This solution also offers low consumption, reduced cycle times, low maintenance costs, repeatability and flexibility of production processes, especially concerning short colour changeover times. Compactness and the possibility of integrating with the CVS in-line quality control system are two of the main features of this machine. Negri Bossi is headed for Chinaplas too; on that occasion the new Canbio VS, a series of compact, ergonomic and precise machines, will be presented. Among the new features: plasticizing unit fast changeover system, off-line low pressure oil filtration and, most of all, the compact twin-cyclinder injection unit that, despite the more generous platen and intercolumn clearance dimensions, makes the new Canbio VS more compact than the previous series. A 130-ton VS press with a single-cavity cup mpould and a 250-ton VS press with a 2-cavity beer glass mould will be on display at the show.
