Russian PVC plant

On July 12 Rusvinyl, joint-venture between Sibur Holding and Solvin (this latter being a joint-venture between Solvay and Basfasf), started the construction on anof its integrated complex for PVC production in Kstovo (Russia).
This complex will be Russia's largest fully-integrated PVC plant and should be operational in 2013. Its production capacityies will be 330,000 tons of PVC and 235,000 tons of caustic soda per year. In order to serve the local increase of PVC consumption, the plant's capacity could be extended up to 500 kilotons of PVC per year. RusVinyl will use one of the best PVC production technologies in the world, licensed bywhose licensor is the international vVinyls producer Solvin.
