No-chip cutting

Planetary cutters have been designed by Sica - an Italian company producing extrusion line ancillaries - for chip-free cutting of high-thickness HDPE and PP-R pipes (up to 100 mm). The cutters have 2 arms: one is equipped with a freely rotating circular blade which exerts less force and friction on the pipe compared to a knife, thus preventing excessive material overheating and better penetration.
The second arm features counter rollers that remain in constant contact with the pipe. In addition to the usual clamps, they prevent any deflection of the pipe, ensuring precision cutting. No-chip cutting is not only clean but also less noisy.
