Mould design

The designed mould: a high quality mould can be manufactured quickly and economically in Italy? A meeting organized in Jesi (Ancona, Italy) by Ucisap (Unione Costruttori Italiani Stampi e Attrezzature di Precisione) on February 26 will try to answer to this question. The appointment, devoted to injection moulders of thermoplastics, will be divided in two sessions focusing on practical cases on the reliability of particular technological solutions for mould components along with an efficient integrated system of design and manufacture. The first session, dedicated to technological proposals, will include, in addition to that of Thermoplay on hot runner systems, other lectures on: normalized steels (Meusburger) and integrated solutions (Vero Italia); the topics of second session, reserved to practical examples, are: evolution of a mouldmaker, product design, manufacturing, and moulding (Microm); how and what the customer requires to a mouldmaker (Sigit Stampi); moulds for the new decade: trace the path, follow or… (Ucisap).
