Saip acquires majority stake in Linden Polyurethane
Italian manufacturer of plants and machinery for polyurethane, Saip, has acquired a majority stake in Linden Polyurethane, a producer of polyurethane equipment based in Akron, Ohio (USA), with a technical assistance service active across North America. Through this operation, the Italian company will expand its product range and strengthen its presence in the North American market, while Linden Polyurethane will leverage Saip's international reach to extend its presence in European and Asian markets. The two companies aim to harness synergies stemming from their respective expertise to enhance their ability to provide processors with innovative, sustainable, and customisable turnkey systems, along with repair, assistance, and technical support.
As a specialist in the design and construction of plants for producing structural insulating panels, including both continuous and discontinuous production lines, Saip is well-positioned to serve the North American market, which accounts for over 65% of global consumption of these products. Furthermore, the Italian company will optimise its new global operational footprint with production capabilities in both Europe and North America, while also benefiting from Linden Polyurethane’s expertise in local assistance and repairs. The US company, in turn, will offer complementary products such as moulds, presses, and carousels to develop comprehensive turnkey solutions.
“This transaction represents a “win-win deal” for all involved. The investment will enhance customer service and accelerate the development of both companies, creating new opportunities for growth and innovation”, stated Walter Pozzi, CEO of Saip. “This business combination speaks to the focus and dedication both companies have while providing world-class products and services to our customers,” added Jon Cocco, CEO of Linden Polyurethane, who will continue to lead the company with his team, ensuring no changes for employees, suppliers, or customers.
