Frigosystem in Asia with a new branch in India

Following the announcement at the Plast Focus fair in New Delhi (held from 1 to 5 February 2024), Frigosystem is going to open a new branch in Chennai, India, the capital of the local automotive industry overlooking the Bay of Bengal. This is the first branch of the Italian company on the Asian continent, and it joins those already operating in Mexico, the United States and Germany.

At the moment it operates as a commercial branch taking care of product distribution and technical assistance. Frigosystem chillers and temperature controllers will be stored on site ready for just-in-time deliveries, as well as spare parts for machines already installed in the area. The company, however, does not rule out starting a local production in the future, initially involving simple technological solutions, a segment where local competitors are very aggressive. The Indian team will be coordinated directly from the Italian headquarters and already includes figures from the refrigeration sector. 

"I'm a big believer in this project, which I've been working on for the last two years. Frigosystem already has several customers in India, both manufacturers and end customers, but the potential of this country and its outlooks are really substantial, both in terms of domestic consumption and exports, especially to the Middle East and Africa," commented Miriam Olivi, sales manager of the Frigosystem Group (first from the right in the photo together with Alessandro Grassi, CEO of the company, and some members of the Indian team).

Frigosystem has designed and produced chillers and temperature controllers for industrial processes for more than 50 years. Today it sells its products in 50 countries and is referenced in over 100 countries around the world. Currently, the company is focusing on the development of its products and the expansion of its operations with particular regard to efficiency, versatility, sustainability and customer service, with plastics processing among the core areas of application of its systems.
