Best Workplace for Blue Collar: Sirmax is there

The Great Place to Work Institute, a company that analyses and rewards firms offering the best working conditions for their employees, has awarded Sirmax Group the Best Workplace for Blue Collar 2025 certification. The company from Cittadella (Padua, Italy), amongst the leading European producers of thermoplastic compounds, has entered the ranking of the 15 firms recognised.

The award, now in its fourth edition, involved over 4,000 workers across 32 Italian companies, surveyed through anonymous questionnaires with the objective of analysing the working climate. The rigorous procedure of the Great Place to Work Institute is based on analysis of responses from production departments and rewards companies with the highest scores according to various indicators: average Trust Index of operational personnel within the company, difference between the average Trust Index of Blue Collar and White Collar workers and, finally, percentage of responses obtained from workers (how much the production side weighs on the total company population).

The reasons why Sirmax was recognised are attributable to the efforts made in building an increasingly efficient, collaborative and inclusive working environment, where continuous improvement is an integral part of company culture. On one hand, the company focuses on digital tools and lean processes to optimise operational management; on the other, it believes deeply in the value of dialogue and active participation. This balance enables improved performance, valorisation of people and strengthening of the sense of belonging, particularly amongst operations employees, who represent 43% of total Italian collaborators and who are at the centre of numerous listening, training and engagement initiatives.

"The real engine of change, for us, is people," declared Silvia Minafra, Global HR Director of Sirmax Group. "For this reason we have introduced regular active listening meetings with colleagues from the production department: precious moments of dialogue that favour direct involvement, allow us to gather concrete suggestions from those who experience production every day and help to build trust, sense of belonging and transparency. In parallel, we promote cross-functional social opportunities, such as sporting activities, lunches, dinners and aperitifs, which strengthen relationships between colleagues from all departments and levels, consolidating team spirit and internal cohesion."

Amongst the most appreciated and well-attended initiatives by blue collar workers is My.Sirmax Blue Collar, namely an annual cycle of three meetings that the company holds with the entire operations world. Each appointment, lasting approximately one hour, takes place in small groups to encourage open and constructive dialogue on central themes such as safety, improvement of the working environment, company climate and training.

This recognition adds to the Great Place to Work certification already obtained in 2025, awarded to all the group's Italian facilities.
