Horners’ Award For Plastics 2010 open for entries
British Plastics Federation (BPF) admits, within July 30, the entries for the Horners' Award for Plastics Design and Innovation 2010, jointly organised with the Worshipful Company of Horners. Last year's award was presented to Omlet for their innovative plastic beehive called "Beehaus". The Beehaus was developed using modern plastics materials to provide bees with a safe home in which to live and makes beekeeping straightforward and fun. The award was created to stimulate innovation and improve the competitiveness of the UK plastics industry. Many iconic products have won the award in its history, which now extends over 50 years. The award is traditionally presented at the Horners' Banquet held at the Mansion House in the City of London by the Lord Mayor of London and this attracts considerable media coverage.
