French resultsand prospects

According to the most recent survey by the Fédération de la Plasturgie, sales revenues for the French plastics processing industry gained by 8.5% in 2010, driven by technical components and mainly thanks to the good trend in the automotive sector. The packaging sector also showed positive signs, while the building industry is still relatively weak.
The source reports a moderate slowdown in productivity in the second semester of 2010 after the brisk pace in the first half of the year. Accordingly, the first part of the year was characterized by strongest investment by companies, gradually drying up by autumn. The Federation forecasts growth of 4% for 2011.
