Fast preforms

Sipa, headquartered in Vittorio Veneto (Treviso, Italy), has introduced the new Xform system for the production of PET preforms with moulds having up to 128 cavities. The injection moulding machines have a 500-ton clamping force and a plasticizing screw with a diameter of 120 or 140 mm (L/D = 25). A patented system is used for cooling the preforms.
