Extrusion over blow moulds

The new UMA.SE 60.D dual-cavity machine developed by Uniloy Milacron for extrusion-blow moulding of large parts is currently being delivered to a German customer. The machine is based on a new layout which envisages the translation of both extruder and die above the moulds thanks to a supporting cradle movable on rails. The advantages of this solution include a reduced footprint, streamlined geometry suitable for different space requirements in production departments, and optimized energy consumption in comparison to traditional machines with movable carriages or a dual head.
