Eastman expands in China

Eastman Chemical announced that it has completed the acquisition of Tongxiang Xinglong Fine Chemical, a cellulose-based specialty polymers manufacturing facility located near Shanghai. The acquisition (terms of the transaction were not disclosed) will provide additional capacity to meet the growing demand in China. Furthermore it will allow the company to free-up capacity at its facility in Kingsport (Tennessee) to meet the growing demand for other cellulose-based specialty polymers worldwide.
