Compression moulding to the next level

To complete the CCM (Continuous Compression Moulding) range, which already includes 48 and 64 models, Sacmi has developed the new CCM 80 compression moulding machine able to produce up to 2,000 caps per minute with a cycle of 2.4 sec. The machine offers all the advantages of the compression technology which result in the maximum homogeneity of output, in particular thanks to punches which work independently of each other. The company consider this machine the ideal solution to cover the high-volume production segment with very short cycle times, optimizing the energy consumption at the same time. This machine in fact features new extrusion control systems which adjust energy consumption according to speed, which, in turn, depends on cap type and geometry, thus decreasing even further the unit cost for each article.
