Ceast acquired by ITW

Ceast have announced that Illinois Tool Works (ITW) has purchased the company from its current owners and founder, Mario P. Grosso and his family. Ceast, established by Mario P. Grosso in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Turin, Italy, in 1953 and later moved to its current location in Pianezza, supply high quality cutting edge instruments for quality control, research and testing on all polymeric materials. ITW, based in Chicago and that also own Instron, are a diversified manufacturer of engineered products and specialty systems and it has over 60,000 employees in more than 825 operations in 52 countries. Instron were founded in 1946 and are the recognised worldwide market leader in the material testing industry, with over 1,200 employees around the world. The Italian company will complement the products supplied by Instrom. David Grosso will become the General Manager of the CEAST business which will continue to operate from the Pianezza facility.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
