Automatic plastometer

A new A-MeP automatic extrusion plastometer has been proposed by Noselab ATS (www.noselab-ats.com), located in Nova Milanese (near Milan), to determine the melt flow rate, a test of primary importance for characterizing thermoplastic materials, in keeping with the main international standards.
The plastometer can be arranged to process the flowability value (what is commonly defined as grade), flow gradient and shear stress of the material under test. It covers the flow speed during extrusion and the start-up ones typical of injection moulding. Moreover, it can be used for tests on corrosive materials by installing matrix, piston and Hastelloy nozzle.
