Amut-Amu merger

On 12 December 2011, Amu (Apparecchiature Macchine Utensili) was officially merged into Amut, headquartered in Novara, Italy. Amut has thus acquired the full range of Amu sheet extrusion technology, in particular for photovoltaic applications, of which 4 lines have just been sold in China and India.
Following the acquisition last spring of Comer Engineering, based in Maserada sul Piave (Treviso, Italy), which led to the establishment of the Amut Ecotech division, this merger is part of the development plan begun at the end of September in cooperation with Fondo Italiano di Investimento. It aims at broadening the company's field of operations while rationalizing costs and resources. It was thus superfluous to maintain two separate joint-stock companies having overlapping shareholders.
