Petcore Europe Thermoforming Conference 2024, scheduled to take place in Granada (Spain) on 25 and 26 June, will be dedicated to the circularity of PET thermoformed packaging. The objective of this event is to promote thermoforms collection and recycling and specifically tray to tray circularity.

The first day of the event will feature presentations from high-level speakers such as Luis Planas Herrera, Policy Assistant to the Director General for the Environment at European Commission, and Ana Agudo, Councillor responsible for Sustainability, Mobility and Security in the city hall of Granada, that will explain their goals and expectations for PET trays. Also, interventions from the major experts in the field of thermoforming are scheduled, followed by panel discussions with guests from the PET industry.

The participants will have an exclusive networking opportunity in combination with extraordinary historic sightseeing in Granada. On the second day they will be able to have the Alhambra visit - Unesco World Heritage Site. Entering this architectural complex will fully immerse them in the Andalusian culture. Through its gardens, palaces, towers, and gates, they can transport themselves to a time of great splendour and connect with a civilization that left its mark on the city in a decisive way to become what it is today.

Petcore Europe will also organize a plant visit to one of the most modern sorting centres in Europe, the Granada Ecopower plant, complex which consists of the following facilities: a mechanical-biological treatment plant, an environmental classroom, a leachate treatment plant and a waste landfill.
