PP sheet line in southern Italy

A new complete line for the co-extrusion of polypropylene sheet has been ordered from Union by a converter in the south of Italy. The line will be used to produce food wrap 950 mm wide with thickness ranging from 0.3 to 1.5 mm at a hourly production rate of over 1,000 kg.

The plant comprises two single-screw extruders configured to ensure excellent mixing and high productivity. The machines include a continuous flow automatic dual-platen screen changer, a 45°-inclined FI calender with Essair thickness control and cross-axis device to produce a sheet with optimal planarity and uniform thickness, automatic winders and devices for complete process automation.
