Integrated technologies for medical devices

Organised by Engel Italia and taking place on September 24 and 25 at the head offices of the company A Uno Tec, in the heart of the medical district of Mirandola (near Modena, Italy), Tec Med 2015 represents an important meeting point for experts in the medical field. The event will offer an opportunity to introduce technological solutions in the field of injection moulding, 3D printing and automatic assembly of medical components, and there will also be a series of talks and practical demonstrations by operators in the field. The Italian company Moretto will be fitting an Engel Victory 330/80 tiebarless injection machine with a feeding, conveying, drying and blending system. The machine, equipped with a viper 6 extraction robot and conveyor belt, will be proposed as a complete and compact work station ideal for use in clean rooms. An 8-cavity mould will be mounted on the machine in order to produce the cover of a PMMA/ABS drip chamber for transfusions and infusions. Other Moretto machines will also be displayed in a special corner dedicated to the medical sector. They will feature a series of solutions compatible with clean room environments, that assure the fullest compliance with the relative regulations and in line with the need for ongoing protection of the raw material, from storage to the introduction into the processing machine, in order to protect the end product from any risk of contamination linked to dust presence.
