Haidlmair lands largest order in the company‘s history

In the midst of the global pandemic and possibly the biggest economic crisis in history, there can still be positive news from some companies. One such piece of news concerns the mould making company Haidlmair in Nussbach. The mould making specialists were able to secure the largest order in the company's history.

By the end of the year, Haidlmair will produce 20 injection moulds for Ifco Systems, the manufacture of collapsible crates. Ifco is the world's largest supplier of reusable plastic packaging and offers pooling solutions, mainly in the area of fresh produce. You can find Ifco containers in almost every supermarket, especially in the fruit and vegetable department.

As the first step, Haidlmair will deliver twelve moulds for the production of hinged crates by summer 2021. Haidlmair's technology partner is Schoeller Allibert, which in turn is also the mould customer and produces part of the containers for Ifco. Schoeller Allibert subcontracts the other part to its partner Polytec, which has been a production partner in Ebensee, Upper Austria, for many years. In addition, Schoeller Allibert also took on the role of product developer and is responsible for part of the quality assurance, including load tests on the boxes.

By the end of 2021, Haidlmair will manufacture a further 8 moulds, whose end products are mainly intended for the North American market and will be used there by various large supermarket chains.

"We are very happy that, especially in such challenging times, we can rely on our long-standing partners. We have been working with Ifco and Haidlmair for many years and have always been able to rely on the outstanding quality of the moulds from Nussbach and the comprehensive, individual support", Ludo Gielen, CEO of the Schoeller Allibert Group

Stated, appreciating the cooperation.

"We have been sourcing a large number of our production moulds from Haidlmair for many years and are always impressed by the durability, high availability, optimised cycle times and outstanding product quality. That's why we chose Haidlmair and Schoeller Allibert as our production partners again for these two projects", Anastasios Papadopoulos, vice president of Ifco, agreed in the same vein.

This means that the specialists at the Nussbach mould maker have a lot of work ahead of them in the coming months. "We are happy to start our business year on such a positive note and we are looking forward to the challenges ahead. To this end, we will be hiring some new staff in different areas of the company over the next few months in order to complete all the orders to the expected timeline and to the usual high Haidlmair quality" Mario Haidlmair revealed in conclusion.
