Amut line for TPO membranes to Polyglass

Italian company of the Mapei Group, Polyglass, specialized in the production of waterproofing membranes and insulation systems, and headquartered in Ponte di Piave (Treviso, Italy), has chosen Amut as a strategic partner to increase its production capacity for TPO membranes.

Polyglass commissioned Amut a new extrusion plant with a capacity of 10,000,000 m2/year that will be dedicated to the production of the full range of Mapeplan T, a flexible polyolefin synthetic waterproofing membrane. The plant, which represents the current state of the art in the production of TPO, will be served by a fully automatic system for direct in-line dosing of raw materials and flame retardant additives that will be directly processed and extruded by the Amut line. The solution is fully automated, equipped with an automatic packing system for the rolls produced and features technology for dimensional control of the product and visual surface inspection, with detection of any aesthetic effects. Amut will deliver the line in the second half of 2021, so that it can be put into production by November.

"In spite of the pandemic crisis, Polyglass is proceeding with its plan to expand the production capacity in order to better compete in the single ply market. As foreseen in the development plan conceived with the parent company Mapei. The definition of the characteristics of the new line are the result of joint work between Polyglass/Mapei and Amut: I would like to thank mister Milani for his active and positive collaboration and that of his staff ", said Pierluigi Ciferni, CEO of Polyglass.

"Amut long experience in the design and manufacture of lines for synthetic waterproofing membranes, tested in numerous installations around the world, combined with cutting-edge technology, guarantees the satisfaction of the most stringent project specifications and a targeted support to the customer. We are proud to work with a prestigious company such as Polyglass and we thank mister Ciferni for the trust placed in us, confident to consolidate our relationship for future projects”, concluded Piergianni Milani, President of Amut.
