Extrudate recovery

Two front-feeding grinders were recently delivered by Tria, headquartered in Cologno Monzese (Milan, Italy), to an American customer for grinding PVC profiles with a rigid outer shell and foamed core and having length, width and thickness of 3.5 m, 40 cm, and 30 mm, respectively.
The two machines are part of the XT range, which comprises 10 models producing an hourly output between 50 and 1,500 kg. They were specifically developed to grind – inline or offline – extruded product or scrap such as sheets, profiles, cables, and tubes, including those of large dimensions. The grinding chamber features an inclined cutting system with optimal grip; the rotors are equipped with 3 or 5 blades performing a scissor or arrow cut.
