Pipes galore!

According to a recent survey conducted by Freedonia, the world plastic pipes market is set to record 8.5% annual growth until 2017 at least, reaching a total demand corresponding to 11.2 million kilometres.
This increase will be driven by the upsurge of the building industry (at two-digit rates, above all in the United States), where the demand for plastic pipes will gain new market shares to the detriment of other materials.
Even though over 55% of all tubes and pipes are currently manufactured from PVC, HDPE pipes are expected to see the highest increase in demand.
